Job Description
Curatorial Content Development and Preparation of Exhibition Design Projects
On February 6, 2022, Antakya was severely damaged by the earthquake. Among the affected structures was the Hatay Archaeology Museum, which became one of the first buildings selected for renovation. The renovation project was conceived as a transformation effort aimed at repairing earthquake damage and bringing the museum back to life—without erasing the traces of the disaster, but instead preserving them as a part of collective memory and a source of learning. Within this framework, the garden exhibition and its use were reinforced, while the museum’s circulation was reorganized to provide a more accessible and visually coherent experience. The exhibition design scenarios inside the museum were redefined from scratch, structured thematically and chronologically with a focus on unique artifacts.

HVL Studio undertook the curatorship of the Hatay Archaeology Museum Renovation Project, working on visitor scenarios, circulation planning, and the spatialization of the narrative. The project is currently under construction. Alongside curatorial content development, HVL Studio also prepared the exhibition design projects.
